Sister Lystra Long, OP, has ministered in Trinidad and Tobago. Her ministry has been dedicated to young adult ministry, parish ministry, religious education, and archdiocesan ministry. Sr. Lystra served as campus ministry at University of West Indies Catholic Chaplaincy, St. Augustine, 2008-2009; and parish administrator at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel, New Grant, 2011-2016. She has ministered with the Archdiocese of Port of Spain as library assistant at Regional Seminary, Mt. St. Benedict, Tunapuna, 1999-2007; vicariate catechetical coordinator, cluster coordinator, and spiritual director, 2016-2018; lecturer at the Theological Faculty Regional Seminary, Mt. St. Benedict, 2017; spiritual director of the Choice TT (young adults) Movement, 2010-2019; chancellor of the Archdiocese of Port of Spain, 2018-2020; manager of the Eastern Antilles Interdiocesan Tribunal since 2020; and vice president on the Working Team for the Episcopal Delegate for Religious, 2023. Sr. Lystra’s home parish is St. Francis of Assisi, Sangre Grande, in the Port of Spain Archdiocese.
