Sister Deborah Bomyea, OP

Sister Deborah Bomyea, OP, has ministered in Wisconsin, Vermont, Illinois, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Nebraska, and Colorado. Her ministry has been dedicated to teaching. In the Diocese of Rapid City, Sr. Deborah taught and was athletic director at Red Cloud Indian School, Pine Ridge, 1999-2006. In the Diocese of Grand Island, Sr. Deborah taught at Kearney Catholic High School, Kearney, 2006-2009. In the Archdiocese of Denver, Sr. Deborah taught at St. Francis de Sales, Wheat Ridge, 2010-2021. Sr. Deborah is currently ministering as coprioress of St. Dominic Villa, Hazel Green, WI. Her home parish is St. Bernard, Saranac Lake, in the Ogdensburg Diocese. She is the daughter of the late Richard G. Bomyea and the late Shirley (Baker) Barton. Click here to send an honor online.

Sister Kathleen Flood, OP

Sister Kathleen Flood, OP,  has ministered in Illinois, Tennessee, and Wisconsin. Her ministry has been dedicated to campus ministry, teaching, preaching and spiritual direction. In the Diocese of Madison, Sr. Kathleen served as director of campus ministry at Edgewood College, Madison, 1983-1987. She served as a writer while living at the Motherhouse, Sinsinawa, 2014-2016 and 2017-2023, Sr. Kathleen is living in community with her Dominican Sisters. Click here to send an honor online.

Sister Roberta Popara, OP

Sister Roberta Popara, OP

Sister Roberta Popara, OP, has ministered in Illinois and Florida. Her ministry has been dedicated to pastoral ministry in parishes, hospitals, and retreat centers. In the Archdiocese of Chicago, Sr. Roberta served as pastoral associate and administrator at Visitation Parish, Chicago, 1983-1986; outreach pastoral minister at Northside Ecumenical Night Ministry, Chicago, 1989-1991; director of Ministry of Care and Bereavement programs at Holy Name Cathedral, Chicago, 1991-1998; and as a hospital chaplain student and member of the resident program at Rush Medical Center, Chicago, 1987-1988. Sr. Roberta is currently ministering as a spiritual director and volunteer in the Chicago area. In the Diocese of Palm Beach, Sr. Roberta ministered as associate director at Our Lady of Florida Spiritual Center, North Palm Beach, 2002-2019. Her home parish is Holy Trinity, Bloomington, in the Peoria Diocese. She is the daughter of the late George and Yolanda (Mecozzi) Popara. Click here to send an honor online.

Sister Peggy Ryan, OP

Sister Peggy Ryan, OP

Sister Peggy Ryan, OP, has ministered in Georgia, Wisconsin, Texas, Alabama, California, and Illinois, as well as Bolivia. Her ministry has been dedicated to social work and theology. In the Archdiocese of Atlanta, Sr. Peggy ministered as a family therapist at Families First, Atlanta, 1993-1995, and as a mental health professional and clinical social worker at Caminar Latino, Doralville, 1999-2003. In the Archdiocese of Milwaukee, Sr. Peggy taught and was an advocate for Spanish-speaking parents and students and a social worker at Dominican High School, Whitefish Bay, 2010-2014. She is currently working at Dominican University, River Forest, IL, in the School of Social Work’s Field Education Office, accompanying students in their internships. Sr. Peggy also teaches in the School of Social Work. Her home parish is in the Chicago Archdiocese.
