Sister Eileen (Jozef) Brynda, OP

Sister Eileen (Jozef) Brynda, OP, has ministered in Illinois, Wisconsin, New York, and Iowa. Her ministry has been dedicated to teaching, administration, pastoral ministry, and spiritual direction. In the Diocese of Peoria, Sr. Eileen taught at St. Mark, Peoria, 1963-1968, and served as principal at Visitation, Kewanee, 1973-1977. In the Diocese of Madison, Sr. Eileen taught at St. Jerome, Columbus, 1968-1969; Sacred Heart, Reedsburg, 1978-1979; and St. John Vianney, Janesville, 1981-1982, where she also served as principal, 1982-1987. She ministered as pastoral associate at St. Victor Parish, Monroe, 2000-2002. In the Archdiocese of Milwaukee, Sr. Eileen served as a substitute teacher at Dominican, Whitefish Bay, 1977; in adult faith formation at Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist, Milwaukee, 2002-2004; and as vicaress provincial for the Western Province of the Dominican Sisters of Sinsinawa while living in Cudahy, 2004-2006. She ministered as pastoral associate at St. Kilian Parish, Hartford, 2006-2016, and as spiritual director at Siena Center, Racine, during summer retreats since 2014. In the Archdiocese of Dubuque, Sr. Eileen ministered as pastoral associate at Resurrection Parish, Dubuque, 1989-2000. She is currently volunteering in the Milwaukee area and living in community with her Dominican Sisters. Her home parish is Visitation, Chicago, in the Chicago Archdiocese. Sister Mary Ellen (Marie Alphonse) Gevelinger, OP, has ministered in Illinois, Minnesota, and Wisconsin. Her ministry has been dedicated to education. In the Archdiocese of Chicago, Sr. Mary Ellen taught at Queen of Peace, Burbank, 1965-1969, and Trinity, River Forest, 1973-1974. She ministered as dean of students at St. Thomas the Apostle, Chicago, 1978-1980, and Unity Catholic, Chicago, 1980-1982, and as executive assistant to the president at Rosary College (now Dominican University), River Forest, 1991-1994. In the Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis, Sr. Mary Ellen taught at Bethlehem Academy, Faribault, 1974-1978, and served as principal at Regina, Minneapolis, 1982-1987, and ministered as director of personnel and planning for the Archdiocesan Office of Catholic Schools, 1994-2000. In the Diocese of Madison, Sr. Mary Ellen served at Edgewood College, Madison, as professor, 2007-2011, and president, 2019-2020. She ministered as prioress of the Sinsinawa Dominican congregation 2011-2016. Sr. Mary Ellen volunteers at The River Food Pantry, Madison, and Holy Wisdom Monastery, Middleton. Sister Charlotte (Marie Angela) Gould, OP

Sister Charlotte (Marie Angela) Gould, OP, has ministered in New York, Illinois, Idaho, Michigan, and Florida. Her ministry has been dedicated to teaching, parish work and religious education. In the Archdiocese of New York, Sr. Charlotte taught at Our Lady of Mercy, Bronx, 1964-1971. In the Diocese of Peoria, she taught at St. Thomas, Peoria, 1971-1972. In the Archdiocese of Chicago, Sr. Charlotte taught at Immaculate Conception, Chicago, 1972-1980; Epiphany, Chicago, 1980-1983; and Most Holy Redeemer, Evergreen Park, 1993-2001. She served as pastoral associate at St. Basil/Visitation Parish, Chicago, 1988-1993. She is currently ministering as a volunteer ESL teacher and eucharistic minister to the homebound in the Park Ridge area. In the Diocese of Boise, Sr. Charlotte served as director of religious education at St. Bernard Parish, Blackfoot, 1984-1987. In the Archdiocese of Detroit, Sr. Charlotte served as director of religious education at St. Isidore Parish, Mt. Clemens, 1987-1988. In the Diocese of St. Augustine, she was assistant principal at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton, Palm Coast, 2001-2003. In the Diocese of Venice, Sr. Charlotte served as codirector of the reading program at African Caribbean American Catholic Center (AFCAAM), Fort Myers, 2003-2008, and taught and was a staff member at St. Andrew, Cape Coral, 2008-2012. Sr. Charlotte is living in community with her Dominican Sisters. Her home parish is St. Patrick, Merna, in the Peoria Diocese. Sister Mary Martin Joseph, OP

Sister Mary Martin Joseph, OP, has ministered in Trinidad and Tobago. Her ministry has been dedicated to catechetical and social work. In the Archdiocese of Port of Spain, Sr. Mary Martin served as parish administrator for the Marelot Parish, Toco, 2006-2011, and assistant parish administrator at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel, New Grant, 2011-2013. She has been the volunteer ministry leader for the migrant ministry and parish coordinator for catechesis at St. Theresa Parish, Woodbrook, since 2016. Sister Geraldine “Geri” (Marion) Kline, OP

Sister Geraldine “Geri” (Marion) Kline, OP, has ministered in Texas, Minnesota, and Wisconsin, as well as Bolivia. Her ministry has been dedicated to education and individual and family therapy. Sr. Geri’s ministries include high school teacher (1963-1967), and principal (1971-1976) at Bishop Lynch High School in the Diocese of Dallas. From 1967 to 1971, she taught at Regina High School, Minneapolis, in the Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis. In the Diocese of Madison, Sr. Geri served in congregation leadership as vicaress provincial, 1976-1980 and 2004-2006, and from 1978 to 1983 she ministered as director of initial formation. In 1984, she was a missionary in the Archdiocese of Cochabamba, Bolivia. In addition to pastoral work, she was the founder and director of INFANTE, whose mission was to promote national adoptions in Bolivia and promote family life, especially the rights and protection of women and children. Following her ministry in Bolivia, Sr. Geri completed nine units of pastoral care at Baptist Hospital, San Antonio, TX, and then ministered as a professional licensed counselor. In 2015, she moved to Milwaukee and served as a docent at the Milwaukee Art Institute. In 2019, Sr. Geri moved to the Motherhouse, Sinsinawa, to support community life. She continues to live in community with her Dominican Sisters. Her home parish is Immaculate Conception (now Divine Mercy), Faribault, in the St. Paul and Minneapolis Archdiocese. In the Diocese of Madison, she taught at St. Mary, Portage, 1970-1972; served as principal at St. John Vianney, Janesville, 1975-1982; and ministered as professor at Edgewood College, Madison, 1988-2009. Sister Mary (Marie Alfred) Rathert, OP

Sister Mary (Marie Alfred) Rathert, OP, has ministered in Nebraska, Illinois, Florida, West Virginia, Virginia, Washington, and Wisconsin. Her years of ministry have included secondary and adult education; religious formation and leadership; pastoral ministry; and human services with those experiencing homelessness, especially women and children. Sr. Mary spent 13 years in the Diocese of Spokane, where she was program director at Women’s Hearth, which is one of the cosponsored ministries of Transitions, an organization whose goal is to end poverty and homelessness in Spokane. Sr. Mary is formally retired and, based in the Diocese of Madison, serves her Sinsinawa Dominican community in pastoral care. Her home parish is St. Bernard, Madison, in the Madison Diocese. Sister Cecilia (Michael Marie) Sehr, OP, has ministered in Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Texas. Her ministry has been dedicated to teaching. In the Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis, Sr. Cecilia taught at Regina, Minneapolis, 1966-1972, where she was also the science department chair. In the Archdiocese of Milwaukee, Sr. Cecilia taught at Dominican, Whitefish Bay, 1972-1982. In the Diocese of Dallas, Sr. Cecilia has been teaching at Bishop Lynch High School, Dallas, since 1982 and at Eastfield College/Dallas College, Mesquite, since 1989. At Bishop Lynch, she has served as chair of the science department and coached cross county, 1986-1999; tennis, 1999-2002; and fine arts academics since 1982.
